Abstract

Biomedical research aims to obtain generalizable knowledge through systematic implementation of studies, which are essential to our health system. But what about when that assumption is challenged by the observation of a gender bias in the treatment of coronary heart disease? We will answer this question by analysing Swiss law issues related to this assessment, also called Yentl syndrome.
